Your dragon designs are so unique. I love the layering! Is there any place we can see the final framed version?

Thank you very much!
Since the final version is in a shadowbox frame, I will only be hauling it to conventions and shows I can attend in person (shipping things that have glass tends to be troublesome).Β This year, I will likely bringΒ Spring ExuberanceΒ to SoonerCon in the Oklahoma City area, and probably to Archon in the St. Louis area as well.Β

Ugh, I know the trials of lugging shadowboxes around. Do you live in/around the OK area? I'm in Northeast OK, and have thought about attending SoonerCon at some point.

I live in the Kansas City, MOΒ area, so SoonerCon is at least "regional" for me.Β I also have newly-discovered family in the Oklahoma City vicinity, so I'm planning to make SoonerCon and a family visit an annual event.Β I've heard good things about SoonerCon's art show, and I have several friends who attend regularly and speak well of the con on the whole.

I love how your creations don't end with the drawing and coloring, but extend into lovely presentations too! The 3-D additions make it even more unique.

I've found that presentation is VERY important at art shows, so I try different things to see what works out well and what catches people's attention. This is the first time I've tried layering deep enough for a proper shadowbox, and it's definitely something I plan to play with for the rest of this particular series.

Thank you. This was a first-in-series, and pretty experimental. I plan to refine the composition and elements a bit with the other three seasons.

this is impressive .___. your colors are always beautiful but here, they're bright and more colorful XD I don't know how to explain it, I'll just say you've made a excellent work <3

Thank you very much.
I tried to keep the colors brighter and lighter - more in tune with the idea of spring-green, rather than the bolder bluish-greens that I often like to use. I'll save those for the Summer dragon.

Thanks very much. It's an unusual shade of green for me, so it was something of an experiment to see if I could get it to work without being overpoweringly, well, green.

Thank you. It's an unusual range of colors for me - I don't think I have much at all that I've worked around spring green. I'm just glad that it turned out decently!

Thanks very much!
I have been meaning to do another piece with this shadowbox effect for some time. This time I actually planned ahead and purchased the shadowbox frame beforehand, so I could make sure that all of the bits and pieces fit comfortably inside!
