I guess I like making Varian suffer for the sake of drama........................Also, this is, like, the only thing I've done art-wise for the past month. I've had so much block and lack of motivation, I've had a lot more work hours than I normally have, and I've been sick for the past week. Normally, when I get sick, I become insanely competent at drawing and I'm able to sketch something AWESOME...but on the one sick-day I took, I did absolutely nothing but drink and sleep. I'm sure it's important for you to know, I peed a lot. I made the rough sketch for this two or three days ago, after my fever broke and I was back on my feet. I was thinking of a tarot card theme, but it turned into a wallpaper instead. I managed to make this super high-def, too!

I don't really have any context for this, either. Feel free to make something up for why Varian is battered and bruised and staring out into the distance (or the black rocks) with a vague, almost serene expression on his face. It's a very isolated portrait. The title comes from this song, which is sung to Varian in Chapter Thirteen of TTS: Witch War
