Selling for $130Here is the link to it on my etsy: www.etsy.com/listing/175774180…
Today marks the first year anniversary of Rachael’s Wire Garden! One year ago today, I opened my etsy shop and created this DA account. I have had so much progress this year, and am so excited to begin another one – hopefully the next year of my wire-wrapping brings many wonderful things!
This pendant was inspired by the book series and popular movies: The Hunger Games. I designed it after Katniss’s wedding dress in the second movie: Catching Fire. Originally, I’d put a black feather hanging from the bottom with little rhinestones on it, but I decided that it looked better without. I really wanted to incorporate the mocking jay part of the dress, because it was freaking awesome!
Made with fine and beautiful beads, I used Swarovski crystals, sterling silver, and Bali sterling silver. Bali is a special kind of sterling made on the island of Bali in Indonesia. It is all made entirely by hand by extremely skilled silversmiths.
The wire is the usual stuff, copper and silver-plated, which helps keep the cost down a little bit. The mocking jay bail that I used was actually a pin that I transformed =] I have not seen another pin like this, and therefore I cannot duplicate this pendant. It is truly a one-of-a-kind, and once it sells, it’s gone. Although, I am planning to maybe make a smaller and less expensive version of this in the future, if this design becomes popular.
I also used some of my photo-manipulation skills, by giving it a black background and adding some fire into the mix (fire stock by FrostBo ). It was EXTREMELY difficult to get a decent picture (I always seem to have troubles with that lol), and then I got this picture which was nice – except for the fact that it was sitting on my hand and the background was my green carpet xD. Soooo I took that stuff out!
Anyways, I’m pretty happy with the results from this. I hope everyone else enjoys it just as much! I've been waiting to post this since almost the beginning of January
Small version...
The Tree of Life symbolizes spiritual growth and wisdom, strength, protection, and connectedness. It is a healthy model that inspires the spirit and encourages hope in all hearts.
These are delicate, wire wrapped pendants that should be handled with care. Some of the stones, glass, or shells used to create the tree can break if handled roughly.

This one is simply Dazzling. You have melded strength with beauty and clarity with fire. I really enjoy reading the stories you put into your Tree of Life pendants. I enjoy the bits of wire work I do but I don't have the strength or the drive that you do to create as many lovely and varied pieces. I made a Tree of Life Pendant for my daughter's birthday but I have to say...whisper...yours are more unique. It did come out beautifully though and she loved it. Congratulations on 1 year on Etsy, you are on the right track. You will go far.

I really love this. I see so many tree of life pendants these days, this one has it's own twist! I love that about it! The bird is so cute, and the way the tree is attached to the spiral wire, really cool!
