My latest project!Based off of this photograph I took. [link]
I'm actually kinda surprised it turned out so well. It's.. like my first realistic turtle painting. It's all watercolor, by the way.
This is also my entry for the World Turtle Day Contest. [link]
And the whole time I'm drawing it and looking at this photograph, I'm thinking "Boy, there's so much detail. How does God put so much detail in everything He makes?!"
I can't believe how many colors are on this turtle!
God made some really interesting creatures out there, so glory to God on this one.

I know; I'm staggered every time I stop to take a closer look at my monitor or leopard geckos. Both are lizards, but one kind is so fragile and delicate, and the other is big and tough. The diversity that He made is so amazing!

If you ever do decide to get one, I advise going for a leopard gecko or blue-tongued skink.

Yeah, I like the geckos. I have no idea what kind of characteristic they have though.
Do they like people? Can you have them on your shoulder like a bird? Or do they pretty much stay in their cages like a bunny?

Psst, want to know a secret?
I very lightly traced the eyes of the turtle and it's shape just a little bit, so I could get the dimensions right.
..I'm so cheap.

And I did mine structurally hahaa. I plotted each point and lined it out, then free-handed everything

Well considering between you and me I am coloring it in also It's still not done. But I am a perfectionist with art, so I don't think it's the best. But structurally it's a sound figure that looks about right
