I'm thinking of that Honeymooners episodes that had Ralph and Norton fighting over what to watch. I picture that same scenario. And they change the channel, the dialogue becomes wild.

all it takes is a Certain Blue Hedgehog to pop and say "Hey Shadow"
and then Sonic gets Shadow out of the house for an Hour or so
