I know how you feel. D: I hate putting anything in my eyes, I've wantd to use color contacts for cosplays but am afraid to. ;__; I don't think you should worry about it, if it'll be your first con. Besides, always do what you're most comfortable with. I know I never do what I'm comfortable with, but hell, I'd rather do it perfectly (moving around like the silent hill nurses 24/7 at a con hurts my back and legs, but I never get out of character)

I'm a perfectionist, as well. If I know I can make my Reika costume more accurate or just look better, I'll probably do it, but eeeeeee, my poor, scared eyes! >.>
