Hell yes, I love the Space Station 13 Martians :3 My husband designed them pretty much based on the ones from Metal Slug. Lessee, if I can remember what all the types are since I suck at SS13 and don't play it much... Soldier which pretty much just has a raygun, Sapper which iirc drop ridiculously devastating biological bombs, Warrior which are pretty much berserkers, base Martian, and Mutant which scream until you explode. There's also Jones, the station captain's cat which is probably a figment of his imagination.

SS13 itself is a 2D multiplayer game which takes place on a space station where everything is going to shit all the time. Martian looters is entirely reasonable given the context.

I watched some clips of it last night after reading your descriptions, it looked fun

You already know I'm a huge fan of these squiddy martians wherever they appear too

It's got a really steep learning curve but some absolutely priceless stories come out of it near constantly. Any game where you can murder half of a space station as a janitor by mopping the hall so that a bunch of people trip and fly out an airlock down the hall is pretty excellent.

Thanks They're actually from Space Station 13, just heavily inspired by the Metal Slug ones if I remember correctly, haha.

Nah, they are from Space Station 13 (I think based on the ones form Metal Slug, but those were based on War of the Worlds in turn, so...)
