Hay guys! here's a simplistic one for y'all. i've been wanting to do some sky drawings lately but i had no idea what i wanted to do. this idea came to me while i was thinking of the scoota-boom pic. that pic had been done to test manipulation clouds, well, so was this one. i took it upon myself to be a little bit more patient with clouds and actually try to draw them. while this still aren't great clouds, they are a great improvement on ALL of my prior attempts at drawing clouds. also, i really wanted to figure out how to do the sun.
i used Paint Tool Sai for every bit but the rainbow trail. i actually made the rainbow in Sai, then moved over to Photoshop to get it to curve. was very irritating but i finally figured out another aspect of Photoshop. this makes me happy because the better i get at Photoshop, the closer i am to doing another Photomanip image.
And yes, that cyan dot is Rainbow Dash. c'mon guys, y'all should know by now if i'm doing an experimental image she's the one i'm gonna experiment with

Clouds aren't that difficult, you just need patience, and layers of different opacities... lots of layers.. .-.

indeed on the layers. these clouds were just two and they turned out awesome.....well...more awesome than usual.
in the past i've been really impatient with clouds, so they've turned out terrible. i was tiered of that and since they werea major part of this pic i really needed to work on'em lol.

This looks amazing! I love the fact the rainbow trail isn't just a solid colour and it actually looks more real then most others XD

yeah i've never been a fan of the rainbow trail being completely solid. it could be assumed that it's a trail of magic rainbow dash is leaving behind her when she's going really fast. if that were the case, it'd be a bit see through and mystically like a unicorn's magic.
