I planned to do this work a while back, but i kinda thought it was impossible. Gladly it wasn't
"Dream Catcher" was inspired by my stupid "anxiety/panic attacks", horrible memories that haunted me this last months and the "technophobia" a close friend suffers: imagine a future where technology provided humans with a device that not only our dreams could be hacked, but taken away from us, dreams and even memories, horrible memories but also the good ones, maybe you'll keep them in a memory card or sell it to evil doers to torment others with whatever you had in your mind. Would you take the risk? Would you get rid of those experiences that hurt you no matter the consequences?.... That's pretty cyberpunk to me.

Technology always making the same promises but look around and what do we see? We see less and less of the things that are most important technology providing more and more distractions. I like the new X files season 11 episode 7 if you haven't seen it well worth watching. I spend time in the Amish community and some friends there taught me some very important things the least of which is a great joy, thankfulness, and humility. I haven't traded my car in for a horse and buggy but definitely, have given more thought to what runs my life.
Great art and more specifically to answer your question about losing some memories science can't take the place of us to choose what we think. You can focus on what is lost or fight for what is left.
