I love this kind of messing around with beasties. I hope to post more finished pencilwork, but I wanted to share this guy with you guys to start.I like coming back to old creatures I've designed so hopefully I can also use this account to store concepts that I may forget about, etc.
Gaergse both plural and singular ( pronounced germanish, silent 's' - gair-juh)

This guy looks really interesting. I like the shape of his iris and the whole head and neck area... And totally how the lower lip goes

Yeah, his jaw wouldn't do much good XD And I thought about that when I was sketching them out. The teeth may be better adapted for slicing off tough fruits of something, maybe root digging if they weren't predatory.

Thanks! I think I was feeling octopus when I added the bulge hehe - I imagine it to be a kind of flopsy sac sitting between the ridges in his skull.

Wow, such a beautiful mouth that middle guy sports!
(Though when I look at him, I have to giggle with the image of him playing 'fat lip' and wobbling his jowels all over the place)
