Age/Birthday: 174 years old. Appears to be in his 20’s, born 1843 and died sometime around 1866. Has lived as a priest for roughly 151 years.
Pantheon: Born in Norway, serves the Japanese pantheon.

Priest Powers:
Small fungi spores grow across his body and cause organic material to rot when transferred via skin contact. It takes about two minutes for the spores to begin to visibly eat away at skin and about fifteen minutes for their effects to rapidly increase enough to clear away flesh to the bone. He has little control over his abilities, as they manifest idly. The spores can be neutralized by heat, particularly hot water, for an roughly 60 minutes before regrowth occurs. This makes the ill effects easy to take care of in friendly fire situations.
Strengths:
Sharp-eyed. Knut is observant and wary of his surroundings at all times. He has little faith that anything’ll go right so he’s usually one of the first people to pick up on impending danger.
Team-worker. Due to his patient nature and tendency to trust the abilities of others over his own, Knut has little trouble working alongside other people and is stronger as a member of a team. He does his best to bring out the best in other people through support and encouragement.
Self-sacrificing. Knut would do anything for the people he loves. While this can be a weakness, his ability to put himself in harms way to help others usually influences an outcome positively for the good of all. Because of this, he is a great defensive fighter and is capable of thinking quickly to save those need protecting.
Weaknesses:
Frail. Reminiscent of his life before becoming a priest, Knut has trouble gaining weight and muscle. His dexterity does not make up for his poor strength, as his coordination and sense of balance is even worse than his physical brawn. He relies heavily on his powers and brain to watch out for himself and his god.
Push-over. It's easy to convince Knut of one thing or another if he trusts you to the smallest degree. Being close to people only makes him more susceptible to manipulation, as he tends to do anything for the people he loves. He has developed this negative trait since his childhood, to the point that it may be his biggest weakness of all.
Merciful. Knut has trouble delivering the final blow when it really counts. He is naturally adverse to hurting others to the point of putting his friends in danger if he must commit an act of great violence to save them. While his highly empathetic nature can be a blessing in peaceful negotiations, making the decision to strike down a dangerous individual can weigh heavily on Knut's consciousness even after the fact and influence his future mental state.

History:
Knut was born to a poor family in Norway, mid 1800’s.
When he was young, his family hit a rough patch and a sibling close in age to him fell ill due to malnutrition and passed away.
He felt responsible for his younger sibling’s death to the point of leaving his home when he turned 18, in hopes of lessening the number of mouths to feed and securing a better future for his younger siblings.
At the start of his life away from his family, he met a man named Olsen who was also living on the streets. He fell in love with him and followed him for the years following up to his death. Despite nearly becoming lovers on multiple occasions, they never developed a real romantic relationship.
Olsen was disowned by his wealthy family after nearly making off with his parent's fortune. Bitter about his failure, he blamed his uncles for his own failure and talked often about exacting revenge someday. Knut felt unsure about the goodness of Olsen but stuck with him anyways, afraid of losing the only person he hopelessly loved.
After years of traveling together, Knut was asked to help teach the family members who had stolen Olsen's wealth and future from him a lesson they wouldn't forget.
Olsen provided the two of them with weapons meant to scare and batter the uncles whom had influenced his parents to disown him for his attempted crimes. Knut reluctantly agreed to help him, worried for Olsen's safety if he tried to carry out the plot on his own.
When the day came to carry out the plan, Olsen slipped away soon after they broke into his former residence. Knut was left alone with two men he was meant to attack with an accomplice. He had no choice but to fight off the pair with all he had, and severely injured one and killed the second during the confrontation. This would come to be his sin.
Olsen met up with Knut a few days after he fled the crime scene and tried to lie his way out of blame. For once since the first time they'd met, Knut stood up for himself and cut off contact with him.
He went on alone from then on, only lasting a year or so before inevitably passing away. He starved to death during the famine of 1866.
After reviving as a priest, he was relieved to be given a second chance and became heavily attached to his first god.
He served her for a number of years before she passed on to pave way for the new gods. Her loss hurt him badly and reestablished an incredible fear of abandonment. He is still greatly affected by it in current time.
Serving Juzo, Knut is still heavily affected by his past and remembers it well. Much of his history still influences his decisions in modern day, as far back as his siblings death.
Personality:
Devoted. He would do anything for his friends.
Gentle. Knut wouldn’t hurt a fly.
Witty. Knut is all about having a good laff.
Restless. Knut struggles to keep himself busy enough.
Withdrawn. Knut has trouble opening up about his real feelings.
Nihilistic. Knut has little faith in the world and approaches life pessimistically.
Likes:
Juzo. After spending four years as his priest, Knut has grown very comfortable around his rambunctious god.
Yellow. Knut wears a lot of bright yellow clothes and accessories. It’s been his favorite color for well over 100 years.
Alcohol. Fruity mixed drinks are Knut’s beverage of choice. He relaxes considerably if he’s just a lil drunk.
Humor. The easiest way to get close to Knut is if you enjoy cracking jokes as much as he does. Silly pranks and friendly banter with friends are his favorite pass-time.
Thick clothes. The more layered his outfits are, the cozier he is. Like any terrible boy with a tacky sense of fashion, he wears a lot of patterns on top of patterns.
Self care. Sleeping/napping and taking multiple showers in a day help Knut keep on going.
Rodents. In particular, Knut is pretty fond of rats. He loves the softness of their fur and wiggly whiskers.
Dislikes:
Fancy attire and good manners. He isn’t that good at being a proper boy.
Hot weather. Perhaps if he owned more than one short-sleeved shirt, he wouldn’t melt under the hot sun.
People who are way too serious, with some exceptions. If someone doesn't laugh at his joke, he might as well just wither away right there. He also hates feeling like he’s being looked down on.
His powers as a priest, and subsequently mushrooms as a whole. He feels as though his abilities do more harm than good and prevent him from even momentarily forgetting about his duties as a priest and past sins.
Feeling unclean. He isn't obsessive about it but it's rare to see Knut without having showered in the last few hours.
Trivia:
- Knut is hard of hearing. He does not require a hearing aid, simply relying on people to speak clearly. It adds to his dislike of group settings and preference for one on one conversation, especially with particularly boisterous people such as his god.
- Knut knits most of his clothes. He keeps an entire rainbow of (albeit, mostly yellow) yawn in his closet for when creativity strikes. It's his favorite pass time and saves him the hassle of buying new sweaters at a store when his old ones start to wear.

Roleplay: Paragraph only. I struggle a lot with most script RP and would like to avoid it, sorry! Ultimately, I would greatly prefer to role-play over discord. But over notes, comments, or even Google Docs is also okay!
