Description (UPDATE: GRRRaaaah!!!! >.< I came at school to look at this image and check if it was the correct ratio. But it looked longated! Damn new comp at home! >.< It's one of the ones with a wider screen. Unfortunately it makes every image wide, no matter how many times I tweeked my monitor's setting! Sometimes I scan a drawing and see the difference and spot the problem right away. With this, though, I worked straight from illustrator and photoshop so I couldn't spot the problem. But dammit... Any time I adjust my pic to make it look porportioned in *my* screen at home, it looks screwed up in other's comp. Anywho, I edited and made the image how it *should* look.)

I've been frustrated with summer classes and my research project and the fact I've spent too much time writing I haven't drawn much. So, at approximately 1 in the morning yesterday I decided, 'hey, let's do a Seth picture!' Behold! SETH! Aka, "Rainbow"! It'll probably be my only pic for a long while. This summer is really a bitch. I haven't even touched my Persona 3 game >.<

For those who don't know: Seth is my OC who's in my Devil May Cry fanfic, 'Monster'. He's also bi-gender (yep, you heard that right 'bigender', he's able to shift between genders. O_o) Anyway, he's a flamboyant type o' fella. And no, he's not called 'Rainbow' because of his sexual orientation (though he is bisexual). No, Seth just loves everything eighties. If you grew up in the eighties, then you probably grew up with the likes of Punky Brewster, Rainbow Brite, and Carebears. Eighties was all about color so that's why Seth is very colorful and 'out there'. He's got issues, but, uh, I won't go into them. >_>

This was done with a combination of photoshop and illustrator. I did the face and layers in illustrator, then brought it into photoshop and kept adding layers, colors, blurs, whatnot. I decided to go this route because I use only a mouse. (I'm too broke to afford a pen) so the pen tool in illustrator.photoshop was the only way I could get clean lines. As good as I am with the mouse, I didn't want this to be yet another amateur job. I wanted this image to be as good as possible. It's all about color.

Another reason I wanted to do this? Because I have a deep admiration for the Goths! I'm too much of a wuss/nerd to wear Goth wear but I totally love the style and bow before those brave enough to stand themselves apart from the crowd. I'm hoping any Goth ppl out there like this spunky Goth style. ^_^

Okay, now that I got this outta my system... to the dungeon I go... Damn you research!
