Aside from scrambling with Finals, I've been creating stuff for Akon. I'm pretty excited since some of the stuff recently has come out so well, including the merchandise. I'm gonna work on some new works for the con, including some more BOS works (which I reserved for summer time, hence why I haven't updated that series).

This portrait...I was never happy with how it came out when I posted it first time around. It was not 'Seth', more like a pretty face slapped on a dark background. I felt something was missing. I kept going back to this like THREE times, each with a different background. I just wasn't happy with it until I was doing some research on the eighties and realized that that punk vibe, which is what Seth is all about, was totally missing.

It's a pretty punk but dark moody pic, which is fine since there's this side of Seth that's really dark in the comic series I'm still planning to make. He tends to kill his victims while listening to upbeat, eighties music. I thought it'd make an interesting scene, what with a horrific massacre occurring while some Madonna song is playing in the background.

Still working on Seth's 'werewolf' form, btw. I'm doing all sorts of research and am thinking of ignoring the whole 'turn-into-an-8-foot-hairy-beast' and have that transformation subtle, yet monstrous. I'm thinking along the lines of the humanoid/monstrous-looking creatures shown in all the Hellraiser movies. To me, the more human the monster looks the more horrfic they appear to be. So that's kinda the road I want to go down with the Seth's transformation.

All righty, time to shut up. I'm debating whether to scrap the other Seth portrait since this one is pretty much the one I'm a but more pleased with. Oh well. I gotta go to bed now. Web final is at 8 in the morning. Bleeeeh. Must get up ridiculously early to catch a ride with dad. That, or get up even MORE early and catch the bus. Hell no! >.<
