Behold! NEW ART! O_O And what's this???? DANTE FANART?!??!?!?!Yesssss. It is. e____e
San Japan is around the corner. I did pretty decent last year and hope to do better. At conventions, the thing that gets asked a lot, especially when people noticed the Nero fanart, is WHERE IS DANTE?
Considering that fanart does sell well at conventions like San Japan, I figured I should do a fanart of my beloved Dante. 
Of course, because I have a strong respect for the fanart genre, I wanted to make this as cool as I could make it. Even if people don't know who Dante is, I want them to buy this print due to its 'cool' quality.For myself, I'm a HUGE fan of Devil May Cry fan. I played the game since it's demo came out with Resident Evil: Code Veronica. I'm what you can consider a veteran DMC fan and do take pride in being a part of the original fanbase of this series. Hell, I was the creator of 1-2 english DMC fansites IN THE INTERNET. I remember having to TRACK DOWN DMC fanart in the internet. *That's* how small the fanbase used to be, lol.
Having stated that, I guess it might come as a surprise that there isn't much Dante love in my gallery.
Actually, I just took a break from Dante. It's been a few years since I drew Dante again. I had to take a break though. I kinda got fed up with all the rabid-annoying-desu-fangirls. >_>Anyway. Please enjoy. I'm getting the DMC love back, so hopefully I'll uphold that promise I made to myself and make an awesome Dante versus Nero Angelo battlescene.

Lovely work. Very different from what I usually see of Dante. He looks really young here but that is a nice thing, a youthful shot. I really like your style and the evil creatures around him. Speaking of some of the first DMC fansites on line. I remember one that some fellow DA er's and I would frequent back right after DMC was released that was pretty nice. The owners were called Snake Inandanita and Vampire 666. We had a large art gallery on it.

Yes, they were some of the early ones. I had a section of their site called kzeor's hold. We had a great time on their forum. After their site shut down a lot of the people from that site came here and we all still keep in touch. Those are some long time internet artist friendships! That site was awesome. I haven't looked around for too many DMC sites since theirs went under. Heh, those were the days.....

Well it sure has a "cool" quality. I don't know who Dante is. Well I do, from all the artwork that I've seen of him, but I don't play the game... I don't really play games at all x_x
And this artwork really does stand out from all the others I've seen. I love the pose and the way the moonlight is cast on him, and also the colours you chose. And the oveerall feel of the image is very grungy, and I love that.

This piece is gorgeous! I really like how you pulled off the red and green coloring. Usually, I see people using those colors and end up making it look christmasy but you just made it all bad ass

its a very nice piece, however you i a minor mistake on his sword. it should be a skull and not clown/jester head or whatever it is you've placed as the hilt, it should also have two crowned guards sticking out from the hilt.

My boo Dante!he(and his brother) are in my top ten fav. Charaters of all time!XD and yeah those desublairing fangirl should all be lined up and shot! Seriously,it's like they didn't even the same game most of us did!(neko ears chibi hearts kawaii...... For reals?)but yeah I love this so much! for as popular, MANRY, and badass as he is, you almost NEVER see fanart or product (ESPECIALLY legit products!) of him ANY FRIGGIN WHERE. I guess most people have such a deep respect that unless it's just as badass as dante, they're not allowed to create it. Hence why I've never even attempted to draw him.
