Charging, gliding, flaming enemies, collecting things like gems (with such a satisfying, 'gleam' sound), chasing thieves, Sparx eating the butterflies, fairies always on your side, memorable voice actors.... yeah, classic Spyro is so near and dear to my heart.

I remember I used to play Spyro the Dragon when I was little, and this brings back memories.

Spyro wasn't really a part of my childhood, I played the classic trilogy on my cousin's PS on one of the summer holidays when we were kids, but in March this year I remembered about him, downloaded them all and an emulator so I could play them on the desktop, and now I can't stop! I've even beated Ripto and Gnasty Gnorc. Spyro is now my most favourite videogame character!.. Only the classic version, though. I haven't played "Skylanders" and I've played only the last game in "The Legend of Spyro" series, but I got sick of it before I could even get to Malefor.

To be honest, I wouldn't worry about Skylanders. They only used Spyro's name to get some attention. Apparently Spyro wasn't really even it it haha :/

Gawd, I remember this game.. It was games like this that got me to be the gamer-girl I am today.. I'm actually going to try to hunt down a PS2 so that I can get this game and all of the other ones that I used to have. I still play the Spyro games, since I have two of them for the GameCube ( Something with Dragonflies, and I forget the other )
