Also, my story for these is that they were normal penguins, and then an evil scientist came and took them and shrunk them and made them all fat so that they could be rolled around and cause people to trip at work and hurt themselves so that their companys would have to pay for it and all the companys would go bankrupt, but he couldn't get enough money to get enough penguins, so he only got a few and tried to release them at a bunch of places, but rather then trip over them, people just thought they were adorable and picked them up and took them home.
Yup..... that should totally go in the note.

That's the point! They were made for evil, but just ended up being so darned adorable that people everywhere began to adopt them.
Plus, I like stories that involve incompetent evil geniuses.
