Description
This is part of a never-ending series of portraits.I'm trying to experiment more with values.
Committing way too soon to really dark ones does not help.
That's one mistake I'll try avoiding.
Here's the progression:

In a lot of paintings I miss a certain sketchiness. Things are too fast too detailed. In a portrait-study like this, some of those sketchlines are appreciated. Although in my opinion I would have gone a little bit further. I seem to be missing a large chunk of the body. Because of the fast rendition her breasts are poorly shaped and even hinted wrongly, so my suggestion would be to keep on working a little bit on her breasts and clothing.
Her face on the other hand is, besides maybe a few anatomical issues, well rendered. Because of the very glossy rimlight on her lips, I would draw this further over her face. That would make it more of a whole again.e.deviantart.net/emoticons/p/p⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

I really like to rough unfinished look you left it with. It is clearly intentional and your rendered what you wanted to be rendered. Keep 'em coming

I really like that you left the lines on the lower part of the pic, it gives it a great feel!

Thanks...
the lines were left to suggest that I will never feel like the piece is finished.
I guess I feel a lot more comfortable knowing that is just a sketch.
