I was thinking about Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor. WHo playe Xena and Gabrielle in Xena Warrior Princess. It's an old series but litterly one of the very first female hero/empowering/main characters series
Lucy as Xena and Renee as Gabrielle have some similarities to Jane and Maura. The characters have some similarities and how they interact with each other^^ I watched XWP first and then Rizzoli & Isles and I so much spotted similarities there
