i've been posting too much.But it gets kinda lonely here since a lot of artists are moving to tumblr or whatever the current mainstream thing is.
I think a network like that brings a closer connection to artists though (i don't have a tumblr but i think it's best if it's kept that way : |)

I personally think that DA is much better in terms of sharing art and it also gives it more of a sense of professionalism than Tumblr. I view Tumblr more as of personal website than anything. So I would agree that artistes feel more connected to other artists. I have a Tumblr but I go on both DA and Tumblr just as often as I always have. DA won't ever die off~ 
(Besides, it's harder to keep track of the artistes that you are following on Tumblr (esp if you have been away from tumblr for a really long time) On DA I can keep track of all my fav artistes and their updates)

I really don't see the need to migrate to tumblr if deviantart is suiting your needs. And frankly, I know that I personally am not interested in joining yet another social media site. There's just too many at this point.
Also you do not post too much! I love seeing your art pop up in my message box. It makes me happy.
