I have to admit that I imagined most of the characters at different ages and with different personalities, but these are just as good in their own right. Maybe even better!

Except for 2 teensie things, everything is perfect: 1, you need MARIO
2 Vivian needs to be more gender-ambiguous. she is, in fact, a he in the original Japanese version. (o.O I noe)

But even in the Japanese version he is referred to as a 'she'- a mark of respect given that he associates with the female sex.
In other words 'she' is fine in this picture.

I love it. The idea of giving Mario characters humans forms is very interesting, especially the partners in the Paper Mario series. You've really captured the true essence of all of them, I can't find a single thing I don't like about this. There really should be an anime of Paper Mario, and PM:TTYD with the characters in human form. If not, at least a comic/manga. That is seriously my dream. I would LOVE to see a manga/anime of Paper Mario 1, and 2. Ah well, The chances of that happening are slim to none. XD

This is great...I'm writing a novelization of PM64, and I'd been debating over character designs, since I still want them to be Goombas/Koopas/etc, but more humanoid...and your designs are almost exactly what I've been seeking for inspiration. One or two things may change (Goombario gets his pointy tooth and Kooper's backpack is a shell maybe? =3), but if you don't mind, I'll be using these designs in my head. I will credit when post story! ^_^ *favs*

Yeah, I must agree. How anyone could come up with a human design for the Pixls (Besides Tippi) Is beyond me. There isn't even enough depth in the Pixls to begin.
