Altair deserves more of my attention-A- Hero of our Time
kinda seemed fitting title since I fail at drawing Desmond and Altair is THE assassin
it's 3am don't judge my brain for derping like this

Eh... Ima pjesma njihova - Heroes of this time, a isto je tematski vezana za kriΕΎaske ratove, a ovdje - junak naΕ‘eg doba i assasin's creed - mislio sam, nema Ε‘anse da je to sluΔajnost. Al oΔito ima, haha.

wow this is amazing! is the book he is painted upon relevant to the drawing or were you just using some random page for background? there is just something so amazing about this! truly wonderful traditional art, I love traditional art fanart because it gives me hope in my own art since I can't draw digitally yet. May I ask what materials did you use? I would love to try something similar if I can, your technique is gorgeous!

oh I struggled so much with digital art until I got the hang of it, I understand your pain xD
well the novel is Ljermontov's 'A Hero of our Time' and I like the title and the troubles of the characters, the deaths and loss of the wife and the whole romanticism era it was written in, it kinda reminded me of Altair's story, but it's my view of the situation mostly x)
well, I first sketched the figure in ink pen and then painted over with the acrylics

I think the title of the book does fit your drawing, it sounds like a great read. Sometimes I, too, kinda find some of the characters I love the most resembled in some other characters from other games, or books or TVseries, as you say it is all about points of view but it is nice to be reminded of them in any way.
I can't believe you did that with acrylics! it looks so great, perhaps I'll try something similar, that is if I could pull it off! (:

indeed, many books have given me ideas for fanart that is not even related to them. Sometimes a scene described is just so perfect that I can't resist x)
why wouldn't you be able to pull it off? if you don't try you won't know
and even if it doesn't work from the first time, it will maybe after the 4th!
I had messed up first several times, ofc wasn't nice, but when you mess up, you learn how NOT to do it next time ^^

well, I chose the text firstly because of it's title 'A Hero of our Time' and was kinda fitting, but if you read the work it has absolutely nothing to do with the assassins xD
the idea itself tho, Ljermontov was a great russian writer, and this work of his was the first russian psichological novel from the romanticism era...and the tragedies among the people, the story, loss of love etc kinda reminded me of Altair, all the treason and death
