Yes, i like the effect of the horizontal strokes, and of the swirls and swashes here. Like me, you have problems keeping the vertical strokes all at the same angle, but if there are problems they do not spoil the overall effect

i can look at the most professional calligraphy i've done (i don't think it's very professional) and see flaws - but maybe those same flaws are what makes our work beautiful.

Those dots in the middle of the letters make a really nice "line" that goes straight through all the letter-lines, almost like a baseline, only a bit more above ^^. I also like the way you wrote the letters with those "swirls" (I have no idea of the correct english word for what I mean ^^)

I think one sees that
I absolutely love calligraphy (and do far too less with it...). I especially like old scriptures, and such having "swirls" and ornaments and such stuff around the letters.

I need to find one of those.... I have some pens with something like a felt-tip, but I'm semi-satisfied with those. And otherwise I only have some where I really need ink in front of me (I love them, too - especially pointed feathers ^^)
