Description
My first assembled Model Kit, Takara Transformers Dual Model 02 Kit Bumblebee. The armor plating(all yellow parts) still remains, but here's a presentation of the current "Hybrid Protoform" as I'd call it.
(due to the earth adapted body design, lacking the armor plating).
Painted over the dull translucent grey green metal body, to get that metallic look.
I'm going to paint a Stealth Variant of Bumblebee, meaning black plating rather than yellow, and it's going to be all scratched up and have a weathered surface.. same goes for the body as seen here, have given it a brownish wash to make it appear dirty and rusty, later comes the scratches, which I will paint accordingly to the areas protected by plating.
I have a hard time taking pictures justifying the details of the paint and details applied.. but this will do for now, and I'll leave the quality photo shoot to the finished Stealth Bee.

Now, where do I get a 1/35 scale Nighthawk?.. seems only Revell and Tamiya has those in a decent scale.. 1/48.. bigger parts for awesome robot?... that will just increase the WHOAW factor of it!

1/48 would totally make more sense! and i dont know if you should go for revell.... sometimes revell lives up to the greater level of detail and sits next to the big bosses like hasegawa, tamiya and trumpeter...but mostly its mediocre stuff
i got some cool tamiya planes in 1/48 already i keep collecting them.... its an addiction. gotta be careful.
i may take a shot of my model kit pile for the kicks ;D

Indeed, only Optimus is the unusual 1/35 scale...
And yes Revell has some varying qualities.. though my Venator class Republic Cruiser from Episode III is Pretty much Awesome!
THAT YOU MUST DO!
Gotta love detailed vehicles!

True, pretty big so his size won't be a problem, the sheer awesomness of the details and movie true design just will be MINDBLINDING!
Hope to aim for some matte black metal surfaces with a lot of weathering details and nice faded decals

dont go pure matte! some satin like finish is always better looking

No of course not all of it, his skeleton is going to be all metallic and stuff, and the Prime plating varied from matte to glossy, eventual Nighthawk parts are what i think of as primary matte surfaced
