Went ahead and finished coloring the Godzilla Yellow Lantern Sinestro Corps. while I was working on the Columbus Godzilla piece.Related content

Godzilla would be capable to wear several rings. I think Red would be the most suitable, since Godzilla doesn't want to instill fear.

Uh, yeah, I don't think Godzilla would accept the offer to wear the ring dude.
Godzilla isn't about fear. He's a force of nature, a part of the Earth itself, and in many ways...a guardian of the natural order and balance of the planet.

That isn't he purpose though. The rings seek out those devoted to spreading the emotion that gives them their power. Godzilla is too prideful for one to ever rely on another source of power other than his own. For another, accepting the ring would mean he would give up his position as a bringer of "balance" and thus Godzilla would never accept it no matter how tempting the power boost would be.

Yes and no. He's anΒ nearly self-aware force of nature that acts to protect the planet's balance.
He's been known to act purposefully to save others (this includes humans and kaiju) just as often as he's been known to destroy others.
He's a king that acts to protect his kingdom (aka the Earth) but it's not always in the way you'd want him too.
Accepting the power of the yellow part of the emotional spectrum (aka fear) would jeopardize his role as a bringer of balance.
Let me put it another way, if you held the title, "the King of All Monsters" and "The Bringer of Balance for All of Earth" would you rely on another's source of power (in this case that would be Parallax imprisoned in the Yellow Mana Battery)?
Godzilla would rather die than accept the aid of another being in return for said being gaining some sort of influence over him.

fair, i thought he'd reject it by basically going "you new, you disturb balance, I kill you now" if the Yellow Lantern corps ever showed up rather than the conscious thought about his own power

I'm sorry but I have to say as good as this piece is and It is REALLY GOOD, I could never believe Godzilla would join the Sinestro corps and use fear, Will yes, Rage definitely, but fear, i just can't see it

You know, I've thought up my share of crazy crossovers for Godzilla over the years, but I gotta admit that something like this has never occurred to me. And it fits perfectly too. Checked out your Godzilla red lantern as well, awesome work.
