Well we know Sonic's parents in the Archieverse were named Jules and Bernie. Which is kinda meh as did their look, They were like a Sonic clone with wigs on and clothes. (well besides Jules since he was stuck in robo form) also made them abit taller, I mean look at Vanilla, she's waaaaaaaay taller than Sonic yet Jules and Bernie were like Sonic's size.
I decided to redesign them and give them more fitting names.
So here are Tempo (Speed of music) and Chase (Speed of Following or whatever).
Might've had some inspiration after seeing some sketches made by LadyGT Β

Sure as hell beats most of the stuff Penders did. I notice you put a lot of Sonic Boom into these designs though.

I made Chase and Tempo before I knew what Sonic Boom was. If anything I got the idea from one of LadyGT's sketches.

Thanks x3~! Yeah I wanted him to look more mature, show that Sonic got the kindness from his mother, the looks and need for adventure from his father.
Also designed parents for Tails and Knuckles, had the idea that they were all in the first Robotnik Wars teaming up.

For me, yes, as it is understandable that Sonic has his resemblance from his parents (In this case mostly his father) instead of having both parent's look like their son with wigs.
