This is so beautiful! I love the color combination; teal and yellow work together very well! It looks quite illuminated!

This has got to be my favorite piece you've done so far. FAB. ULOUS.

Critique, critique, uuuuh . . . My absolute favorite *single entity* in this is the butterfly at the bottom, I love the angle of its wings and the position of the dots radiating from it!! Everything about this picture is about layers and depth, and you pull it off the best there.

The butterfly in the foreground has a really nice glow to it. I like that you stepped away from the monochrome stuff for a bit and did something more colorful. The color choice kind of makes me think of an inverted picture. That seafoam color mixed with pink; and the way her pupil is white. Cool choices in that regard. Her face it a bit stout and could use a little more contrast to create some depth to her features. Overall, this is a great piece and definitely makes me think spring. Too bad we skipped spring this year and just went from an absurdly long winter right into summer.

I hear that! May 31 I took the dog and brothers to the creek already. How awful is that?

I think I chose a canvas that was too stout, so her face is kinda smushed. A personal habit that I can't seem to get away from.

Can I just add that your strokes here are much smoother and more blended than usual, which I like. It looks like you spent a lot more time on this.

I think it's a combo, I did spend more time on it but I also switched to a gessoed board (it's smooth and wonderful and you should go get some to play with cus it's awesooome!)

Did you say "awesooome!" in a high pitched voice, 'cause that's how I read it.

This is gorgeous! I love all the curly swoops in her hair and how she is all done in cooler tones so the butterflies and flowers really stand out.
