Description
The Maya believed that their world would end on Dec 21, 2012. Of all the dates put forth by prophets and cultures for a doomsday, this is one with an authentic almost eerie feel to it. This idea is put to end of the world by cold.This was made over a year ago as a collaborative effort, and i think got so much feedback in youtube and newgrounds, I decided to post it here as well.

As far as we know, 2012 12 21 is the end of ancients calendar. What if it shows end, but not the end of the world? It's not up to human being to know. We still aren't advanced, except guns, weapons and oil...

2012 is when the ancient calendars end - it doesn't necessarily mean it's the end of the world. I believe no one knows the date, the world was also speculated to end sometime in 06' 06/06/06. Same with 2000. Overall, we don't know. The world /could/ end tomorrow for all we know.

Thanks a alot, but 666 was just the ancient spelling of nero which the christians belived to be the anti christ the number isnt ver significant, and 2000 was just fear of a computer error, but i agree no one really knows, thanks for the comment

well, actually, between the years of 2011 and 2014 this wierd planet it's going to orbit near the Earth and Mars, and also, between those years, the sun is going to alineate with the center of the Galaxy, and that will provoce some really strong changes in the planet, but the most important is that the poles are gonna change, with this I mean that the North pole is going to end in the south and the South pole is going to end in the north, and it's going to be so fast that its going to provoce strong climate changes, earthwakes, and all that kind of stuff, and between all this process, most of the world population is going to die, so, I'm not quite sure if in 2012 we are all going to die because of wars and stuff, is more of this science things, actually, that poles thingy is a cicle, I mean, that it had happened before, so it's natural, and you can't stop nature. BUT!!! if a decent amount of people survive, it might me sure that wars will start because of the little amounts of water and sources of life, soooo, your flash is very exact. omg, I've never writen so much before @_@, 'kay, anyways, I think the flash's awesome, so, keep the good work!!

well, I mean,there is a huge possibility, they're many and many theories about that, but anyways, I've been investigating, and I found out that the Mayas had this thingie called the Time of no Time, which started in 1992 and it will end in 2012 (20 years), and the Mayas said that in this whole period, humanity should prepare both in mind and spirit. Cause they're gonna happend a lot of stuff, and if we're not ready we are going to fall into this big frustration and we can even fall deeper, I mean like fall into insanity. SOOOOOOOOO, if you wann a survive, the only thing you have to do is being good with people and all!

I like the fact that society will soon end, I think we've pretty much maxed this poor planet out. In a few hundred years, all our concrete and steel will break down and replenish the earth, and new life will grow, and hopefully they wont screw up as badly as we did -_-'

I'm not sure about the world ending on 2012,but I'd rather see it like a rebirth, it gives you something to look forward too.

i agree with =ragnarok2k3 the maya have predictide this as well on there calinder if you see the calinder is realy accurade also nustradomus predictide this he studied this and came with a realy disturving conclusion if you try and read more about him he predictide the end but, in a scientific way wich was a metior and the effects of them are enough to end a planets life if metior being big enough to also the bible tells of the apocalyps so they call it and the final bale of satan and god witch after the war its said that there would be a thousand years of peace also when they said that the world would end the 6th month of the 6th day of the6th year it was only because they were afraid but, you well never know unless you try to reserch a little and then u will see it concludes that every religion, every culture talks about this day dicember 21 2012 but, it actualy starts on june on 2012 but, i don't know at what day but, it ends on december 21 2012.

~Az-Kat is right in 1993 i was told that when 1994 hit the world would end and well im now 20 now lol (so old) since i rember the has always been a end of the world (may 13th oddly my brow b-day, April was on i think,dec 23rd 1994, 2006, 2012) loads more as well and more prob to come after.
But i will say this has more evidence than the others but im fine with it maybe we need a good clear out of earth hope im not one tho.

I agree. I've heard a lot of 2012 stuff, and it used to really scare me... heck, it still does to a degree. But y'know, I try to think of it this way - there are many days to enjoy between now and then, and there are many things to do and look forward to during this time. ^^ Also, I just think it's a tool to create fear among people, so I don't read into it much now, even though that "what if" thought still remains in the back of my mind.

Whether its bad or good the world is shifting a great change is imminent, 2012 is just a number that was found through research i did, but I agree no one really knows when the date will really be.
