forplaying around with coloring technique
Not really satisfied with this one but oh well I'll keep searching.
Wanted to something more refined and neat but ended up with kinda boring, blurred drawing. Even if it features snarling kitty I feel like it lacks character.

I really like it still. Especially the soft colors of the image. They're all balanced really nicely. Though the snarl doesn't quite show off much in the image, the texture of its body gives another air. Over all its very nice.
Could I ask what coloring technique this is? If you learned it from somewhere, I'd like to go there and learn from it. This is really appealing to me.

Tbh I don't know how to answer you xd I don't think it's called somehow and I guess it's just my experiment. Perhaps showing you how it looks from flats to shaded verson on each lyer may help you somehow: sta.sh/21y75mkx9x2?edit=1 Till the 4th I was using "multiply" for shades and "luminosity" for light, on the 5th I was painting over lineart and picking colors myself c: Oh and I work in PaintTool SAI and was using mostly "watercolor" brush in this one except for some sharper details.
