The Ir-shiik Climber, often referred to as just the Climber, is an agile creature that specializes in climbing rocks and traversing the harshest of terrains. THis makes it a suitable mount not only for rocky mountains and cliffsides, but also, and most importantly, for caving. These creatures have been a miner's companion for hundreds of years. They have excellent vision in the dark, are hardy and flexible and can even dig through gravel and stones. Their heads are covered by "shields", hard bone-like growths that their handlers take great care of. They are usually carved with horns and tusks. The growth, if left unmodified and in its natural state, grows into a rough, shapeless mass, that can sometimes be detrimental to the Climber. Carving it is therefore highly recommended and not in any way harmful to the creature. The orange skin on their legs is extremely tough, and can also sense magnetic fields and metals in the ground, adding to their usefullness.
