This is Lisa 678869, a humanoid robot designed to work in spacecraft maintenance. She was one of those robots that people rent on space cruises to have a friendly and non-threatening technician on the ship if something goes wrong.
Her regular interaction with and observation of various sorts of people during her work made her aware that there is more to life than servign the purpose you were designed to fullfill, such as fun or adventures.
So she left her job and since she only needs a place to recharge her batteries, she makes do with what she can earn by scavanging and freelance-fixing illegal spaceships and the like.
She wanders the galaxy in search of knowledge and adventures!
