I've always wanted to visit Prypiat, the ghost city, but I was told that people cannot visit the town by themselves, could you tell me more about it?

Yeah you need permission, and the city is guarded by military soldiers

I don't know, but I read a small news piece saying that the Government is thinking about allowing tourists visiting prypiat.
