Description i just love the way this one turned out i've done quite a few of these but this ones the biggest and, compared to the others, the most unique these crayons didnt melt right with the blow dryer so i had to use direct flame but it worked out because they ended up dripping and building up in spots like dripping candle wax which i like ALOT lol and i liked these cheapo dollar tree crayons in the first place because of the sun printed on the paper and for an added touch i also put crayons on the sides of the canvas instead of just the front. all in all this turned out a success ^__^

they're really fun and easy here's one of my favorites that i made exploring different possibilities

i've seen ones with a person standing under an umbrella and i've thought about a person standing under a waterfall. theres some creative ways to go further than just the crayons melting

That is such an awesome idea!!!
A direct flame? Like a match, or a blow torch?
This really looks amazing, Im sure it looks fantastic hanging on the wall!

Oh yes, encaustic. We dabbled in it with my oil painting classes for a few semesters, otherwise, I'd be totally oblivious, haha. Glad I could help.

Well, I've found I've learned a lot simply from trying new things. Sometimes formal training isn't all it's cracked up to be. But yes, you should look up some of the encaustic arts. The Egyptians used it on sarcophagus and several other cultures used them for portraits and whatnot.
