Firstly, Monster Hunter is awesome. The new one has the greatest color palette design.
The overall design defiantly sticks to that feral Palico theme. 
So here's something to consider for your next piece/or/ you can even revisit this one.
Check out color theory, and look at your favorite artists to see how they color. How do they use warm and cool palettes? What colors they use to exentuate/complement the main palette.
It adds depth to a drawing, and even adds to the overall design 

For example, Seems like you want to keep it warm. so in the shirt,maybe light application of red before you fill in with yellow. ( I can see on the helm, there's a wonderfully rich yellow which looks great)
And visa vesa with the red, using an orange/red color.

Some artist even utilize complementary colors. Which can get hairy, considering if you overwork an area, it could go brown. (sometimes that can go alright)

If you want too add highlights, using unwatered white acrylic paint as a finishing touch is a nice additive. But hey, you do you 

And that chick is right about the photo. I always wait for natural lighting by a window sill... (I also have to chase off my cats)

Aw, cute! I like how small and simple it looks~
One thing I have to say is, the picture you took is fine, it's just not the best. I've looked at some of your other arts and I often see weird shadows on the paper, which can sometimes take away from the piece. 
When I used to do traditional art, I would put my sketchbook/paper on a windowsill during the day and take a picture of it for bright natural light, and that usually fixed the problem.

I love the design, each color works well for each other. The accent color of yellow on the kitsune chest really brings out the design and helps each color pop! The only things I do notice are the small fangs lining the coat are a tad haphazard with another claw on the rim on the right side of the coat and 4 claws on one paw with 3 on every other. The linework is consistent and cute, very well done on that part. Overall, a decently cute picture and good work. I look forward to seeing more Monster Hunter design concepts from you if you ever want to make more!
