This is also a little preview of my new manipulation. 8DD

THERE WILL BE NO PART 2

I never got around to making it, sorry.

I don't really follow this process anymore, but it's definitely useful for the people who don't paint hair. C:
I guess I should maybe update this? xD
Oh well.

Of course! I haven't found a more helpful one yet. . . others always tell you what tools to use, but since I don't use a lot of them in the same way that they do I have no idea what they're talking about. Having pictures of them and what intensity or brushes you should use with them really, really helped!

This helps major. How do you do it if you paint the mane/tail?

Raiiiny In reply to Phantoms-White-Mask [2010-03-04 21:18:48 +0000 UTC]
For painting all i do is get the color that I want the mane to be then I paint a strip on the neck after I erase the original mane. I then smudge it in the direction and burn and dodge! (:

truemaniac [2010-02-16 12:08:19 +0000 UTC]
So, do you do this to every manip? Do you not paint the pieces sometimes?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Raiiiny In reply to truemaniac [2010-02-16 14:18:50 +0000 UTC]
No I defiantly don't do this with every manip. I only do it when the horse has a mane in the position that fits what its doing. Or if the original mane is just ugly and messed up I'll paint one on. XD

You need to zoom in and do a lot of detail. (: Especially with the dodge tool with high exposure. (:

Very interesting. I think I'll stick to painting my manes and tails, but this is most certainly helpful. And beautiful hair, by the way.
