Description
Today, Flagg Coal #75 made some of her final runs on the Lebanon, Mason, and Monroe Railway outside of Cincinnati. Before I made this shot, I rode the train where I found this spot. This was the final run on the LM&M for #75 for this visit.Related content

I know! Thankfully, more steam engines are coming back this year from inspections or dormancy, like SP Daylight #4449 and NW #611!

And Big Boy 4014 should be running again in a few years, while in Britain railfans are waiting for Flying Scotsman to come out of the workshop. Here in Japan, I'd better see if the Oigawa Railway has finished restoring 2-6-4 tank engine C10.8.

I can't wait to see 611 operating. Also in the world of big steam restoration is C&O 1309 on the Western Maryland Scenic Railway.

I saw that being loaded onto a flatcar at the B&O Railroad Museum just before it left for Cumberland.

It's a shame that they couldn't have hauled her without a flatcar. It would habve been nice, just like what they did with 4014.

Don't know too much about the car, but I know a lot about the steamer.
