Description College insomnia can be a wonderful thing sometimes...

I try not to play favorites too badly w/ my pieces. I don't think it's very fair to them... But sorry to all other pieces: this is my favorite piece I've done yet. It has yet to be eclipsed.

Nice little tidbit, no? - This is the artist's favorite.

Yes, this is really awesome. It reminds me a lot of the details in Giger's work, with the depressing lack of colors and morbid structures, so machine-like and evil-looking. And of course I love detailed pieces, so this is just cool.

I really like it. I can't decide if it reminds me most of broken glass, or puddles of ink, or the funny lights you see on the backs of your eyelids as you're trying to fall asleep. The more I look, the more it looks like all three.

This has long been one of my favorites of yours. I have yet to figure out if it is some dream-creature clinging to empty space, or a cracked mirror allowing peeks into some inexplicable alternate-reality.

Soilikeitorsomething...

[in the voice of wilford brimley]: Insomnia knows no prejudice. It afflicts anyone it can...

I put all my magazines in boxes to avoid such things... now, my own feet on the otherhand... different story...

It is very detailed and lovely. How large is the original piece? For my clumsy hands, it's impressive to see such minute detail.

Almost everything I do is done on simple, old-fashioned, unexciting 8 1/2" x 11" paper (some experimental exceptions).
And yes - the detailed nature of it is rather insane... My hand and arm cramp very easily if I work for too long.
