I just can't help myself to practice drawing canines after seeing =AgentWhiteHawk 's join.me a few hours ago..xDD..she draw some amazing canines...OTL...and I epically fail it them..so meet a GSD..;A;Related content

However, a few suggestions. If your not already doing this, use shapes when sketching, and use reference. The snout is one of the most important things to get right because everything lines up with it in one way or another. I usually use it as a jumping point to keep anatomy and proportion correct. I also got a lot of exposure to canine anatomy while reading the off-white comic. That, too is helpful.
Eye-balling it. I'd say the ears are pretty accurate. (I seriously butcher ears XD)
In addition, canine noses are large. They're bigger than the eyes. That also helps, if your eyes are too big, then your nose is too small. Generally, there are a lot of things to watch out for when drawing a canine. You just have to learn the differences.
