A casual conversation between two totally not gay male friends.Even though Drizzt, the small dark elf, has a pet cat, wears anklets and bangles, worships a unicorn, and carries a sword named Twinkle. Twinkle.

The cat is a companion, not a pet! The anklets are magic items, not decorative. The "bangles" are bracers. He follows Mielikki, whose symbol is a unicorn. Twinkle is not funny if you are on the wrong end of it! Don't think you guys really understand the books much or really read them.
As far as "gayness" goes, these guys are the furthest things from it. Yet a lot of deviants seem to love to read all kinds of wierd assumptions into their alignments? Sad really.

Haha, I've read all the books, so I know. He's just the most pampered character ever created. I love them to death, trust me-- I actually read "Spine of the World," so dedicated was I to reading all these books. It was the worst thing I think I've ever forced myself to read. (I mean, I love R.A.Salvatore but Wulfgar steals a BABY.)

I don't know what you mean by pampered? As for Spine of the World, it was not the best of the books but covered that period of Wulfgars life after he left his friends, a time where he had to find himself again after the years of torment with Errtu but Wulfgar does not steal the baby, he saves the baby! If the child had been left there she would have died!
As for the pic, it is well done, but I am just getting heartily sick of how these characters are being missrepresented by many, who truely do not understand them & or their complexities, who read the books, but just see what they want to see. But please, what do you mean by pampered? I do not understand what you mean here?

No no; trust me, this was just a crack picture of the two of them. God, I don't Drizzt has ever hugged anyone, let along sit and talk to an ooc Wulfgar about wanting all up on Catti. -laugh-
I mean everything is handed to him. Like in Streams of Silver, when they're trying to find Mithril all, Alustriel just puffs out of the sky and hands him a potion that would cure Bruenor's forgetfulness. Or how that Twinkle is just handed to him by the wizard guy (who's name escapes me right now.) There are some things that are just handed to him, so instead of battling his way to things-- like finding Mithril hall without magical potion aid, or gaining another magical sword like he gained Iceingdeath (you know, by actually killing something).
Anyways, I loved the books. In fact, I'm in the middle of reading more of them right now... Haha, I love D&D.

I had been brousing and was sick of finding pics of these characters [Jarl, Drizzt, Arte & even Zak!!! All having it off with each other, even one suss one of Drizzt as a boy with Zak !!!!!! Eeeerrrrggghhhh!!!

Understandable. It's lame when people are so ignorant about the characters in the books that they completely eff them up, essentially crapping on the authors work by screwing up their authors work. I mean, jokes are one thing, but true ignorance is annoying. I'm defensive like that over Harry Potter characters, so no worries.

Yeah, I know what you mean! When I told one that If I were Salvatore, I would sue them for "defamation of characters" [ha ha], they came back, saying they would like to see that, or something like that, this just proved to me that they had no respect for the author at all. I mean, ok, draw what you like, but at least credit the copyright owner properly & say no offence is meant to them & or fans. But this lot didn't do it & many others don't either.
What can you do? The funny thing is that I believe many of them do this to shock & or be controversial & then when you react, they get all bitchy!! Or complete smart@$$#$, they want critiques but when you say what you feel about it & it's negative they dummy spit.

I am a drizzt fan aswell --which u can see from my avatar and signiture-- and also h8 it when ppl exploit salvatore's work. i mean he probably spent ages on just getting the ideas for his characters - i kno i did for my book- and he didnt do that so that ppl could exploit them by calling/drawing them gay.

What is your book about?

a Svartalfa (kinda like a drow, but lives longer and can have different hair and eyes etc.) that has been orphaned at the age of 1 month, then found by a wind elf and been transpolymorphed into one then gets abandoned by him and ends up at fifteen an awesome warrior that favors the axe and flamberge-scimitar and an awesome magician.
he goes on a journey to find out who he really is and more importantly WHAT he is (cause by this time the transforming spell is whering out and he is literally an abominatin stuck inbetween the form of a bulky dark elf and a slender wind elf) and ends up in the 3rd or 2nd book finding out that he is a demigod of the dark elves deity, Xiorafv, who is the manifestation of Fear.

By the way, are you aware that if you type "cattie-brie" in the search engine here on DevArt NOTHING actually related to her appears, but if you type "Drizzt" you get thousands of pictures and poses(many of which are half dressed or undressed) of the dark elf? Always found that one as weird as an "evil elf" with morals or a hero that didn't enjoy himself amidst the beautiful worlds he inhabited.
