I've always wondered how Celestia managed to hide her fear and concern for her sister during the 1000 years between that fateful day and the pilot episode of the series... how she slept at night. I always imagined Celestia having a fitful sleep, constantly plagued by nightmares of the moment Luna turned into Nightmare Moon, and (cheesing unintended) how she counted down the nights until Luna returned... and someone could save her sister.
