I think I got stars from someone else I've seen who already had them in the same place as you. I had a nice little star design all worked out in my head for you and everything. Lightning bolts are a lot harder to do designs around though. Um, are they going to be pointing, you know, 'there'?

When I pictured them I had the idea that they could be poking through tears in your skin, as if they'd come from inside you and were bursting out. For some reason the lightning bolts thmselves were made of roughly patched together metal plates. Hard to explain without drawing them.
I have no idea why I picture them like that, I guess I've just got an over-active imagination when it comes to tat designs. Also I'd kind of assumed you were going for the traditional 'chunky zig-zag' lightning bolt shape, not the shape lightning actually is (which might look a bit like varicose-veins if you had that tattooed on...).
However disapproving you think your mother might be, I can bet you mine would be worse, even now when I've not lived at home for years. And we won't even get started on my dad...
Could it be that's he's just posh? Have you ever met a prince to compare his vibe to?

They say that royalty have a special magic about them (their touch can cure boils so I'm told), so you're probably picking up on that. Got any boils you can test him with?
My bro did that course, though many years ago and up in Teesside naturally. He almost got into the Royal Academy after it (first person from Teesside ever shortlisted) so do well and you could go far

I actually pictured the bolts as those with the flat tops, and the spikey bits pointing downwards, like they have on the electricity warning signs on sub-stations [link]

Aw Lyzi, when are you going to believe me when I say that you genuinely are the most attractive woman on DA? You remember the Coup d'Theatre model comparison, right?
And your photography is really really good. You might look at a photo and know what went into making it, but everyone else just sees the pic - if it's something you think you just did because you were bored, we don't know that. And surely if you're producing work of this quality even though you don't think you're trying hard, imagine what you could accomplish if you put your mind to it.

Now, a while ago you had pics of you and your mates on your MySpace site (no stalking - I think you sent me the link months and months and months ago. It's been so long since I looked, as MySpace seems a bit pointless to me, that you might not even have the page for all I know), and even in them you stand out. Trust me, it's not just clever angling (though looking at your gallery you do like the angles don't you?
In fact, I was looking on MySpace with one of my mates who has a page there himself, and he was impressed too. This is a guy who used to go out with a former Miss UK contestant, so he knows a thing or two about good looking girls.
You've just got a natural shyness when it comes to admitting your beauty, and that's an attractive feature in itself. Who wants to compliment somone who too easily says "yeah, you're right, I'm gorgeous"?
If you genuinely do doubt it you could let me recreate the Coup d'Theatre ads with you as the model - they'd make really good pics for DA and my new website (see below), while proving once and for all that it's not just my opinion
As for websites, for a decent one you'd have to pay, but there's plenty of free sites out there - you'd just have to put up with an ad banner or two. I'm going with a company called 'Clikpic' for mine. It's a pay-for site, but really well designed, and cheaer than most. I'm working on it currently; hopefully it'll be up and running by this weekend.
It would only be self-absorbed of you if it was just pics of you - you're a talented photographer and artist as well as a model, so I'm sure there's more than just pics of you that you could display on it. Think big little lyzi

Oh I do have a myspace yeah, it's actually really useful for keeping in touch/making new friends. I don't stand out. I'm always convinced that I'm the one people don't notice, I feel like my friends are all these characters that people will remember, and I'm just "the other one".. I've never told anyone that

I had a friend at 6th form and uni that thought that way about me. That I was the popular one that people remember, while he was a social inadequate (he was drunk at the time). I was shocked, as he was the one that was always going out and making friends and stuff, and I was really antisocial. The moral is, you'd be suprised at how people perceive you.
