Dan was up way past the usual bedtime of the rest of Britain, estimating that he was now in the time zone for New York as he clicked and dragged another video clip into place and began adding the special effects. He would try and come up with something to tweet about how this video was the next coming of Jesus or something equally ridiculous. His sleep deprived brain could not think of anything at the moment as he added a flying Nyan cat to soar past his screen.
As his eyes began to droop and his fingers fumbled with the mouse, he felt slender arms wrap around his shoulders and draw him back, his head now resting against a shoulder as ebony hair tickled his cheek. He relaxed into the embrace as he murmured, "Hey Phil."
He dragged another clip into place, edited out the part where he mucked up his words and listened to the steady rhythm of Phil's breath that barely brushed against his cheek. His chin was resting on Dan's shoulder, his eyes watching the screen as Dan continued to edit and finally he asked, "What video is this?"
Dan thought for a moment before shrugging, his hand coming up to stifle a yawn as he replied, "I can't even remember, I'm that tired."
Phil squeezed him slightly and turned his head so he could kiss Dan's cheek, a soft touch of lips to skin and Dan turned to capture his lips quickly before Phil turned away. He felt the other smile into their kiss and when they broke apart, Phil nuzzled Dan's cheek and the side of his nose with the tip of his own nose, leaving a slight tingling sensation on the brunette’s skin.
"When are you coming to bed?" Phil asked, resting his head against Dan's and breathing in the smell of shampoo that lingered in his brown locks. Dan thought for a moment, weighing up his options before saving the work he had done and pushing back the chair slightly to stand. Phil let go of him, straightening up as Dan stretched and then leaned against him, nuzzling his nose in his friends shoulder as he yawned again.
"Very tired," Phil chuckled as his arms circled Dan's shoulders and dragged him towards the bed, where they fell upon the covers fully clothed and exhausted. Dan snuggled closer to Phil and closed his eyes, his arms coming up to wrap around Phil's waist and draw him closer to him. He sighed as Phil kissed his forehead, his arms wrapping around Dan's waist as their breathing evened out and matched the rhythm of their hearts.
