See to me this makes the character relatable, someone you can emphasis with etc. Everyone expects him to do everything, to always be there and if he's not for whatever reason people are going to ask why. Heck, one of my favourite Superman stories, Brainiac, ends with him suffering a tragedy I myself went through. Why does it happen? Because he was busy saving the day and couldn't be in two places at once. People have expectations and not being able to meet those is not an easy thing to do.

Exactly. I've had this idea floating around in my head for a few days now because most of my friends are unhappy/depressed and I want to help them all but I have my own problems to deal with or I'm not there when they need me and it sucks but I can't save everyone, even though I want to. And it made me think of Superman because, like you said, everyone expects him to save the day and stuff, cause hell, he's Superman, but he's got his own problems to deal with and he can't save everyone, even if he wants to. It's not possible.
Although this is just a shitty doodle on paint, I think I got my message across, considering you understood it perfectly, so I guess that's all that matters.
