Description I'm spamming you with a bunch of pictures of my friend Morgan. She is super pretty and we have done two photo shoots together already. This second photo shoot took place before/during the solar eclipse that happened the other day!
I really like how the sun spot is hiding her face in this shot.

Very pretty!

I also wanted to ask since you live down there, did you see the eclipse real well? We didn't get to see it up here. :[

Thank you!

Pretty well... It was hard because we only had 1 pair of the special glasses for 6 people, so I never got a real good look at it but it was pretty neat. I was really excited about it but it wasn't really that special. There will be another one soon enough, I'm sure you'll see one eventually.

You're welcome

Oh? Is it really true that if you look at it with the naked eye that you'd go blind? That seems so weird. Can't you just use normal sun glasses, or do those not work?
I was searching Google the other day, and it said the next total solar eclipse that Michigan will be able to see is like 2024 or something. They are very rare up here. There hasn't been one here since my father was a kid. [I love Astronomy so yeah]

Yeah, it's because of the reflection or moonshine or something, I don't know. Regular sun glasses don't protect against solar eclipses. It's different, I don't really know why... It's odd. When you wear the special glasses, everything is black but the outline is orange like you see in pictures.
The next one is in 2023, but I guess that's just in China. Oh well.
I know you love Astronomy! It seems pretty neat. Next month Venus is going to pass in front of the sun, so that's exciting. It only happens every 105 years or so I think.

Ohhh! I always thought that if you looked at it with the naked eye it still looked black with the orangeish outline! I learned something today. That explains some of the pictures I've seen.

I think it was last year that up here we could see Venus with binoculars. It looked like a small crescent moon. I'm waiting for August to see the annual Perseids meteor shower. I don't want to be disappointed this year like I was last year.

That's what I thought too!!! People were like, "it started!" and I was thinking, "it still looks like the sun...." I thought it would get dark, but no... It was pretty educational.

Hmm. That's cool! Hopefully it'll be pretty! Meteors are awesome. There was a shower last month I think but there was a full moon so they said it would be very hard to see.
