The idea for this image came from !
I was very excited to work on it, as we already established this au and exchanged thoughts on it, but mainly because I love hurt/comfort. I can't get enough of sappy stuff like this, so I was very determined to finish the picture.
It took me quite a while, I was working on it every free minute for three days straight and still don't have the feeling it's completely done yet. Maybe because I wanted to try more techniques and effects and didn't manage to for some reason.
I may come back to this to tinker. My idea for a special kind of shading might be used in a future image, because I imagine it to look amazing. Due to technical trouble I couldn't implement it here (for now?).
Anyway, two friends had to drag me away from this and told me repeatedly that it looks finished to them, so here it is!
What do you peeps read out of Cullen's expression? I was wondering this a few times while post-processing the image. I'm curious!
Much more importantly though, how do the colors of this image look? On my screen, they looked balanced, but on another not so much. Infos on that would be very helpful.

Elfroot is a hardy plant with large green leaves that grows wild in many places.
It's so common that it tends to show up in most gardens and fields, almost like a weed.
Unlike a weed, however, most people appreciate having access to the wonderful little plant.
The roots can be used with very little preparation.
Rubbing some of the juice on a wound, for example, will speed up healing and numb pain.
And chewing on a slice of root treats minor ailments like indigestion, flatulence, and hoarse throats.

Overall this image is very heartwarming I can picture this scene being animated or maybe for some strange reason in the video game itself. I love how you put the Dragon Age Wiki so everyone would understand what the plant does. I can only imagine what is going through Mother Grezels mind when she sees them together.
Personally I think I would like to have a image with Iron Bull. Maybe throw some jealously into it? LOL But I can tell that you are putting in alot of time and work into this picture. It is very breathtaking and i love the shading in the background.

And you can really sense Dorian's pain from his expression - going through this pregnancy can't be easy for him.
I love how the use of light and shade conveys the time of day (I'm guessing it's early morning) and the colors are so vivid, they really help to bring out the beauty of the piece.

Aahhh yay I still love this so much! It brings a smile to my face whenever I see it <3 you know my thoughts on this, to me it is perfection, Cullen's face is full of love and caring as well as a reserved look of one who wishes his partner not be in less pain, Dorian is so shocked by his lovers thoughtfulness with his pain deeply embedded! I adore his robe and posture as well as the background! Playing round with your lighting might be fun and changing the shadows but to me this is beautiful! Thank you so much (I'm still working on a short fic for this but need to get some free time

The lighting is stunning. You overdid yourself with the whole scenery. Cullen's expression... doubtful, maybe? I would change the perspective a bit. More focus on their faces. Generally bringing the image up so that the plant frames it from below. But it is really, really good. Well done!

I worked on the lighting for probably two days out of the three. Maybe more.
I was never content, changed it a thousan times back and forth, with a very critical eye. I'm glad it was worth the effort.
He was supposed to look ..yeah, doubtful, concerned and caring, actually!
Not sure if Dorian would appreciate it, but trying it anyway and offering the only help he can think of in this moment.
I had to adjust the perspective to the background, so there wasn't much of a choice when it came to the angle.
The recipient was happy , though, so I'm very relieved. I'll mind the focus on important details more in the future, though.
