This is my contest entry for the seven deadly sins contest [link] held by Change-your-heros club.

I chose Esmeralda to demonstrate Lust. The pose was referenced from a photo and her look and outfit was inspired by Disney's Esmeralda.

In both the original book and Disney's movie, Esmeralda herself is an innocent girl who isn't aware of her sexual attractiveness although she possesses the beauty that awakens lust no men can resist. However, in this piece, I chose to depict the desire that she provokes in a more explicit way to emphasize the theme of the picture.

The drawing is done mostly with colored pencils and a bit of copic markers for the first layer of the background. I really pushed myself to go further in this piece since I tried to do a complete picture with background (though it's quite simple).

I don't see many people submit entries to the contest yet, so I'm not sure if the contest will still be valid at last. But it still motivates me to tried hard, plus I'd really like to win a sketch/picture from one of the organizers!

I plan to make more art about the seven deadly sins anyway, not for the contest but because I'm interested in this topic
