Description Fluttershy from "My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic" kittyfied

lol, apparently I'm taking a break from taking a break from taking a break because I said I'm taking a break from drawing but started working on an animation (39 frames done so far) and now I'm taking a break from that...

Why would I turn a pony into a cat?
1. Because everypony draws them as humans, but I haven't seen them as felines yet
2. Because it's cute.
3. Because
4. Because
5. Because it's MANLY.

I bet Fluttershy wouldn't really object to being morphed into a cat.

I haven't seen them as felines either... are you gonna do the others? Or just Fluttershy?

Yes she is cute

"because it's manly"

wait... taking a break from taking a break from taking a break... that means you're taking a break because the first 2 would cancel each other out. Logic will solve everything!

Yeah, I'm quite sure she wouldn't mind much.
Especially after I've seen this: [link]
I also learned that you shouldn't use sarcasm on Pinkie Pie X'D

I thought about drawing the others too, but I think I'll leave it at Fluttershy only.

The "taking a break" was referring to a journal I wrote (this one [link] )
And yes, logic brought you to the correct answer.

I saw that episode I've seen a few others, but if we want to talk about them it shouldn't be under the deviation, cause it'd end up being like 100 comments or something by the end of it

I bet it wouldn't work on Pinkie, she's very gullible.

That's okay.

Ah yes you're "I'm burned out" journal, I remember and am still sorry for doing that to you.

Logic works, much like gravity *falls backwards* See? It works

shut up, there were like 2 times when I rejected requests.

yup, last time I was in a "...uhhhhh motivation gone" phase, I wrote the Basket Cases script because I couldn't draw anything decent.

and how many projects have you accepted in that time?

how long ago was it when you wrote that script?

oww, good counterattack.
yes, I still have lots to finish

hmm... lemme see when I created the file *elevator music*
β€Ž"30. β€ŽDezember β€Ž2010, β€β€Ž16:23:38" so at the very end of last year up to the first weeks of 2011.
I had a few things written down before that, but as usual I wrote the final script while thinking about who stands where doing what with which expression.
Kept flowing nicely because the main plot line was given by the Grimms, so I could depend on everyone knowing what the story is about and concentrate on the humor part.

yes, whenever you use that "I could have said 'no'." line, I will always have a good counterattack to it

Oh okay, so it wasn't one of those files that had been on your computer for very long time.
Yeah, it's alot easier to work when the basis has been provided by someone else, kinda explains why fanfiction for some writers is so easy to do.

nope, Basket Cases was pretty much written in one "blood rush" (lol, I mean I started and couldn't stop until I was satisfied). The other stories developed (and still do) over the years and got more plot and character details to them. I'm not at the point of my drawing skills at which I'd want to touch them, so I go with the comedy stuff first.
Basket Cases was good for practicing panel shapes, telling flow and such.

Ah yes, fanfiction such as fanart allow you to jump right into the story or even a random scene without having to explain anything and people would still understand what is happening and why the characters would react that way.
It's also easier to capture the audience with characters they already adore.
Making them adore your own characters is way harder, but in the end more satisfying. If I'd aim for more pageviews I'd stick to fanart only, but that wouldn't give me much joy in the end.
Also, with fanfiction and so on you always run the risk to make the existing characters do things that make them appear out of character and it'll feel like you forced them into it.
And no matter how well you know the character, I believe the creator is the only one who truly understands his/her characters.

Well since you got some pratice in, and succeeded in completing your first comic, I'd say it was all worth it ^.^

well put.
Yes, it is more satisfying to have them adore your own characters, but also harder when it comes to developing an OC.
Going OOC with certain characters allows a reader to see the character in a different light, and it does provide with some humor. Some readers will be turned away while others will enjoy when a character in a situation reacts OOC instead of how they normally would.

Wouldn't call it my first finished comic, but as the others were much shorter and more episodic without a real plot line I can't say you're wrong either, lol.

True. Seeing some characters going OOC can be hilarious - though I think that works better with fanart than fanfics because you can give a heavier impulse with a picture in this case I believe. While serious-emotion-wise I think writing works much better because you can built it up step by step and then push the read into the fullest of the feeling with the final words of the chapter.
Comics contain both, so I guess that's why there is such a wide range of emotions and humor they can deliver.

yes I believe both humor and romance can work with both fanart and fanfics, it all depends on the artist/writer.
