Although it does remind me a little bit of the emblems used in Code Geass and other mecha shows for some reason. XD

Now that you mention it, does remind me of the geass symbol. I guess I subconsciously had it that mind when I was designing it. Lolz
I guess it is rather fitting. I wanted their emblem to be similar to traditional federation-type logos, but with a hint of mysticism around it.
