Losing Control
Chapter 1: Thanks Perry

Shade ran faster with every step she took, she then turned the corner sharply, but ran into a dead end. She tried to catch her breath then turned around to run, but she saw him, he had a knife on him.

The hooded figure walked closer, Shade walked backwards until her back hit the cold, brick wall. Shade looked down and thought she was going to regret it later but she had to…

Shade looked up and ran towards the hooded figure and tried to punch his/her face, but the figure dodged and grabbed Shade’s arm and threw her into a dumpster close by.

Shade groaned in pain as she stood up “Wha- what do you want?”

The figure chuckled and walked closer to her, knife in hand. Shade back flipped, trying to dodge the knife, about to slash her flesh. But the figure sliced her arm.

Shade landed on the floor and put her arm up to stall her from hitting the floor but her arm was too sore, and she collapsed to the ground with a thud. The figure walked over to Shade and picked her up by her throat.

The figure started to squeeze its hand around the young hedgehog’s neck; Shade gasped and tried to breathe. But her strength was being sucked from her body and her arms started to fall to her side.

The figure grinned under it’s hood and the last thing Shade heard was a thump and punches being thrown, before she blacked out.

After awhile, Shade stirred and slowly opened her eyes and saw a yellow porcupine leaning over her.

“Hey are you ok?” said the porcupine as he helped Shade sit up.

Shade put a hand on her head “yeah…but what…happened to me? I feel completely drained…”

The porcupine looked at Shade and explained what he saw and how he fought off the thug. Shade looked up and smiled.

“I guess I owe you one…um…” Shade said quietly as she tried to remember if he had said what his name was.

“Perry” Perry said as he shook Shade’s hand.

Shade smiled and said “I’m Shade nice to meet you Perry”

Perry stood up and held out his hand to help Shade up.

“Thanks again Perry. I appreciate it” Shade said, as she waved at Perry and began to walk away.

Perry stood there and shouted to Shade “See you later Shade!” And set off home.

Hope you like chapter one! Hopefully chapter two will be longer! And I know I suck at fighting scenes I’ll try to get better!
