Description
Here I got a bit experimental. This is actually a triptych where in the middle is my self-made steel face in frames and on both sides photos of that said face being exposed to different elements. Yes, in the photos the face is actually frozen and burning. They were a bit tricky to execute but also absolutely fascinating. Yessss, I love to BURN and FREEZE stuff! Maybe next time I'll have an object that is both frozen and burning! Now that'd be tricky.

where you see the fire behind the eye, it almost brings the mask to life. very impressive.

I cannot say this is your best work, honestly put, but it still looks damn good.
All I can say is, "This looked like a Hell of fun!"

How you ever go the fire to envelope the face in such a way, I'll never know,
I mean, it had to of taken more than several times to truly get it right.

I agree, this isn't as thoroughly intriguing piece as some other works in my gallery. Still, it was the concept I was mostly after with this as only being one part of a triptych.

Heating the face in a forge and having an assistant to dip it to oil while I was ready with my camera was quite a trick to get right. A method quite fascinating to go through.

From the look of your description, yeah, that does
sound quite tricky and hard to do.

i find it interesting that even though its the same mask in both elements that each one gave off a different expression and feelings it seems
this one actually looks as if its in pain more than when it was frozen

It indeed is most interesting. And the frozen face looks a lot more grim.
