I played the movie with the program VLC (or VideoLan), then I slowed down the part that I wanted for the gif. Once slowed down, I took many screenshots of that part with VLC. Later I opened Photoshop, took the screenshots that worked better (to make a short animation) and using a stamp template I resized the screenshots to fit the stamp template's size.
And finally I animated it like a pixel icon in Photoshop (there are many tutorials about how to do animated pixel icons here in DA).
That's a brief summary, but I hope it makes sense

Haha, yep, I loved that part, well, I actually loved Felipe as a character, it was nice to see another character being something else than a Spix Macaw for once xD And poor Ed, Felipe treats him like an old man LOL
